Aligning Forces for Quality, The Northeast Ohio Collaborative expands partnership with Within3 to help improve health and quality of care for Greater Cleveland residents
CLEVELAND (February 21, 2008)– Within3 today announced an expansion of their partnership with Aligning Forces for Quality, The Northeast Ohio Collaborative (AF4Q-NEO). AF4Q-NEO is an unparalleled alliance of regional stakeholders that is committed to improving the health and quality of care for Greater Cleveland’s residents with common chronic medical conditions. The Northeast Ohio alliance is one of 14 communities nationwide selected by the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation to participate in its national initiative, Aligning Forces for Quality – The Regional Market Project. AF4Q-NEO will join the Within3 network to foster collaboration and enable transparent reporting amongst its members and stakeholders.
Within3 CEO speaks out on Physician Privacy
For those who haven't seen the news this week, a company that many consider similar to Within3 called Sermo released a statement indicating that they were inviting doctors from Pfizer into their community. As has been stated clearly on Sermo's site for quite some time, selling dashboards containing aggregate information regarding physician opinions to external organizations is Sermo's primary business model. The Sermo-Pfizer announcement seems to have caused widespread dismay among many physicians, and because we too are a healthcare professional community, it has resulted in calls for reassurance from Within3 that we are not in the business of selling physician data. As one of numerous sites where discussion regarding Sermo's and Pfizer's announcements is occurring in the blogosphere, I'd refer you to the Wall Street Journal's blog: pfizer-follows-docs-online-with-sermo. It is not my intention to comment on Sermo or its community, but I do want to address any user concern regarding how Within3 operates.
UCLA's Department of Psychiatry and Biobehavioral Sciences Partners with Within3
CLEVELAND (October 8, 2007)– Within3 today announced a partnership with UCLA (University of California, Los Angeles) to enhance networking and information sharing among medical residents in the Department of Psychiatry and Biobehavioral Sciences.
